There will be fireworks displays on consecutive nights in Harpenden for Bonfire Night 2016.

Now in its 41st year, Crabtree Junior School’s annual fireworks spectacular will take place in the playing fields on Saturday, November 5.

All proceeds will go towards the school PA, which helps fund much-needed extra facilities and activities for all the children at Crabtree Schools.

Gates to the Crabtree Lane school will open at 5.30pm and there will be music, a barbecue and other stalls to keep visitors entertained.

The display will start at 6.30pm, and the bonfire will then be lit at 7pm.

Family tickets are available from News 4 U, Shop by the Park in Station Road, and Stage Door in Southdown.

A family ticket costs £20. The price is £25 on the night. Pre-schoolers are free.

An adult ticket is £6, and £7 if bought on the night.

A child’s under-18 ticket is also £6 in advance and £7 on the gate.

* Harpenden Rugby Club’s 2016 Fireworks Extravaganza will take place the following night – Sunday, November 6.

Taking place at the club in Redbourn Lane, there will be fireworks, a bonfire, a funfair and food and drink.

Gates open at 4pm and the display starts at 6pm.

An adult ticket costs £8, and it is £5 for children up to 16 years old.

A family ticket, for two adults and up to four children, is priced £25.

Parking is limited at the club, so visitors are encouraged to take the courtesy bus from Church Green, Harpenden.
