The town’s fireworks spectacular will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2016.

Held at the University of Hertfordshire’s Angerland Park and Ride site, in Southway, the event proved popular with residents last year due to its hard standing location, preventing the usual muddy feet and pushchairs associated with autumnal outdoor events.

The council also hopes to limit parking and access problems by providing a free shuttle bus to the event site, and the University of Hertfordshire has kindly provided free parking at The Forum Hertfordshire. No parking is available at Angerland for this event.

Also this year, visitors will be able to book their tickets in advance, limiting their queuing time on the day.

Advance tickets are available via the Best of Welwyn Hatfield website.

Tickets can also be bought on the day from outside The Forum Hertfordshire and at Angerland.

Gates to the University of Hertfordshire Park and Ride at Angerland will open at 5pm.

The 20-minute fireworks display will start at 7pm.

Throughout the event visitors will be able to enjoy funfair rides, and purchase a range of hot and cold food and drink.

Visitors are advised to arrive early.

Advance booking for the Hatfield fireworks is £5, with free entry for those under 12 years of age, although a ticket must be obtained for all attending.
