SIX Welwyn Garden City and three North Mymms players are in the Herts squad for Sunday's one-day game away to Northumberland.

WGC's former first-class players Jamie Hewitt, Nick Walker and Aaron Laraman give skipper Andy Lewis a solid core with bat and ball.

They will be backed up by other experienced all-rounders in ex-WGC man Ben Frazer and Simon White.

White's Digswell Park colleagues Jamie Southgate and wicketkeeper-batsman Dan Blacktopp are also in the Herts party.

The Mymms trio in the Herts squad are Lewis and Home Farm team-mates Andy Hicks and Rhys Wynne.

Spinner Paul Barker, who has played for both Potters Bar and WGC, is also named.

Herts will be looking to break a dismal run in the One-Day Trophy, which saw them lose all four group games last year.

The full side to travel up to Newcastle is as follows: P B Barker (Radlett), D L Blacktopp (WGC, wkt), G R Brown (Stevenage), B J Frazer (Harpenden), J P Hewitt (WGC), A M Hicks (North Mymms), A W Laraman (WGC), A S Lewis (North Mymms, capt), J E Southgate (WGC), N G E Walker (WGC), S P White (WGC) and R E Wynne (North Mymms).
