Five Welwyn Lacrosse Club youth players were called upon for regional duties as a South England side took on a Belgian team in Reading last Sunday.

Stephen Kilby and Ben Perry both grabbed hat-tricks while Isaac Jordan also bagged a strike as the home side ran out 9-6 winners over ISB Raiders.

The scoreline could have been different had it not been for Welwyn’s shot-stopper Jack Allen, who was on top form.

Defenseman Kyran Smith also featured.

The Reds of Welwyn were among seven clubs representing South England with others coming from East Grinstead, Walcountian Blues, Portsmouth Pythons, Reading and Foxes lacrosse clubs.
