THE top cycling club in Hertfordshire is looking for volunteers to help develop more national, world and Olympic champions.

Welwyn Wheelers Cycling Club have produced such talents as double Olympic gold medallist Laura Trott and are on the look out for volunteers to continue the club’s legacy.

Based at the Velodrome, at Gosling Sports Park, Welwyn Garden City, the club has over 300 members who participate in a range of competitive cycling disciplines including: Track, Road Racing, Time Trials, Cyclo-Cross, Mountain Biking, along with Sportives, and recreational cycling for fun and to improve fitness.

The club has organised a Sport Makers Workshop in conjunction with the Herts Sports Partnership and the Welwyn Hatfield Sport & Physical Activity Alliance (WHSPAA).

It is being held at the Collingwood Suite, Gosling Sports Park, WGC, on Wednesday, May 8 from 7.30pm-8.30pm.
