Welwyn Wheeler Jack Plumley made the trip to Manchester Velodrome for this year’s Sprintfest (Armageddon) at the weekend and finished sixth overall.

Thirty of the UK’s top youth sprint contenders were selected to race.

Plumley, aged 16, started the weekend well with a personal best in the flying 200m time trial to set the positions for the rest of the racing. Only 0.26 seconds separated the top five racers.

Plumley performed well with some important tactical lessons learned throughout the weekend.

After the seven races throughout the weekend the Welwyn Wheeler was placed sixth overall.
