Welwyn & Hatfield Volleyball Club have had another excellent season with a league title and a thriving junior programme.
The club, who play their home matches at Sir Frederic Osborn School in WGC, won the Division Two title going the entire season unbeaten.
They will be presented with the trophy at the Hertfordshire Volleyball Association’s finals day on Sunday, May 20.
And it’s not just the two men’s and two women’s teams who have been rising to the occasion; the juniors now boast 20 regular players.
Players range in age and experience but all continue to make excellent progress with several of the older participants now attending the adult sessions as well.
Links with other junior clubs are increasing and it is hoped that more competitive matches and tournaments will take place next year.
