A personal trainer, who has helped professional Gosling-based tennis players such as Timea Babos and Ed Corrie, is opening his services up to the general public via a new specialist fitness studio in Welwyn Garden City.

Daz Drake has been training athletes since his first job at the University of Hertfordshire as a gym instructor 15 years ago and now he’s turned his attentions to running his own business.

Athletic Performance Academy, based at Gosling Sports Park, is a specialist sports performance company that helps professional athletes maximise their athletic potential, getting them fitter, faster and stronger.

Now they are offering these same services to the general public and are ready to help you achieve your goals whether that be fat loss, corrective exercise or sports performance.

Based on years of experience working with elite athletes the academy can ensure the best programme for its members.

Personal training or group classes are available and there are three, six and 12-month packages as well as pay as you go options. There is no gym membership.

APA is offering a 30 per cent discount to any organisations that join the academy’s partner programme in the Welwyn Hatfield area.

The company is also offering a free personal training consultation with no purchase necessary for all WHT readers.
