Welwyn Garden City open league season with match against Oxford

MARTIN James WGC side will begin their Home Counties Premier League campaign at Digswell Park against Oxford on May 9. The league season for the other WGC XIs at the Digswell Park club begin on May 2 with the 2nds playing Bishop s Stortford 2nds at home,

MARTIN James' WGC side will begin their Home Counties Premier League campaign at Digswell Park against Oxford on May 9.

The league season for the other WGC XIs at the Digswell Park club begin on May 2 with the 2nds playing Bishop's Stortford 2nds at home, and the 3rds travelling to face their Letchworth counterparts.

The 4th XI take on Northampton Exiles 3rds at Welwyn Playing Fields, and the 5ths are away to Berkhamsted 4ths a week later.

The league programme for junior cricketers begins at the end of April. Information about the club can be obtained from the website www.welwyngardencitycricketclub.com

Senior practice sessions are held at the club on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm.
