WGC men’s hockey 1sts secured their first point of the East League Division 3SW season but were left wondering how it wasn’t more.

The home side were disappointed not to have taken all three points against Letchworth 2nds from a game which they dominated for large periods, but failed to work the Letchworth goalie enough, let alone score a goal.

Welwyn fielded their strongest team of the season, with only injured skipper Rob Sansom missing.

A number of players returned having missed the previous weeks defeat, including last season’s top scorer Charles Southey making his first start of the campaign.
