LUCY Moxham has qualified for the Regional Gynmastics Finals in Ipswich in October.

This comes after a sterling performance in the Level 2 County Women’s Artistic Championship on Saturday at Marriotts Gymnastics Centre in Stevenage.

The WGC schoolgirl received first place ribbons on all four pieces; bars, beam, floor and vault.

She was Level 2 Champion for age 12/13 for which she received a winner’s medal and a trophy, and she has now qualified for the Regional finals on Sunday October 9.

Lucy was also awarded The West Salver for the highest score on the floor at Level 2.

“I was very happy with my performance, especially my beam score of 11.35.

“I didn’t fall off and I completed a new move which was a back flick connected to a back tuck which I am thrilled about.”

Lucy next competes in a Level 2 team representing Hertfordshire at the Sapphire Invitation competition on Saturday October 1 in Hemel Hempstead.
