WELWYN Tennis Club is set to celebrate the anniversary of its 'Kid's Zone' with an action-packed fun day.

It is a year since the Ottway Walk club opened the Zone and the plan is to celebrate with a day of fun and games on Sunday, April 27.

Since opening the five-court complex, junior membership has increased by 40 per cent, so there is certainly plenty to celebrate.

Mini-Tennis, a multi-sports fun factory, face painters, a ball machine and a barbecue will keep everyone entertained.

All ages are welcome and there's something for adults too.

For all those who may not have picked up a racket for a while, or maybe never, there's a Rusty Rackets session where you can have a hit with no inhibitions or expectations.

The day kicks off at 11am on Sunday at the club, which is situated above the playing fields in Welwyn village.
