WANDERERS lost 6-4 to City FC in the Welwyn Hatfield Sunday Football League Division Two after a 10-goal thriller.
City FC stormed into a 4-0 half-time lead and looked to have sealed the three points against their rivals.
However, Wanderers had other ideas. They pulled one back soon after the restart from Mark Hemmings.
A brace, including a penalty from Len Hart, put Wanderers back in the game.
Incredibly, Ollie Rouse levelled the scores with his 16th goal of the season.
However, the dream comeback was not to be.
City FC found the back of the net twice more before the final whistle to seal a 6-4 win and go top of the division.
