HERTS Indoor Bowls Association had a busy schedule playing three county games in a week.

They had mixed fortunes though, winning two matches but losing the other.

Firstly, the county's indoor bowlers took on their president's own club Harpenden away.

As a President's select team, they were beaten by just two shots 76-74.

Top rink of the day for the HIBA President's side were Andy Crook, Ron Pugh, Tony Ralph and Hatfield's Mick Wood by 22-16.

Next up were the Home Counties IBA played at the Herts Club in Watford.

John Hart's men triumphed 158-111 this time.

Top rink for the winners was that of Dave Barnicoat, Alan Lewington, G Floyed and Paul Murray.

The busy week was rounded off by a second victory, this time against Cambridgeshire IBA.

Herts came out on top 162 shot to?152 at the St Neotts & District IBC.

Roger Fensome from Harpenden and Roy Seaman, Peter Jones and Alan Fergusson all of Hatfield managed the top rink.
