ED Tucker blasted an unbeaten century as WGC's 2nd XI hammered their Winchmore Hill counterparts on Saturday.
Tucker shared an unbroken 170-run stand with Terry Edwards as the Digswell Park club dominated Winchmore Hill 2nds.
WGC strolled to a nine-wicket win over their North London opponents.
Yet it didn't appear at first that it would be all plain sailing, with England legend Mike Gatting's son, Andy, dominating the Winchmore innings with 77 runs.
The home side looked like setting a big target until Gatting was dismissed with the score on 127-2.
However, accurate left-arm spin from Simon Bridgewater, who took 6-33 from 10 overs, and some late assistance from Zig Dolan, who chipped in with 2-12, saw the innings falter to 185-9.
In reply, WGC lost opener Matt Hill cheaply for six in the seventh over.
That was Winchmore Hill's only succcess with the ball. After that, Tucker set about destroying the home attack.
He took 17 from the eighth over of the innings and with good assistance from Edwards, Tucker raced to an unbeaten 109 with 12 fours and six sixes.
The pair - Edwards finished with 60 not out - added 170 runs in only 17 overs as WGC raced to victory, finishing with 186-1 in 24.4 overs to win by nine wickets.
