THERE was a special treat for Mill Green Tigers last weekend when WGC professional golfer Tom Lewis very kindly went along to hand out the trophies for the November medal.

With the added incentive of knowing WGC golf pro Tom was handing out the trophies Tigers played some sparkling golf across the five divisions with over 10 players breaking their handicaps.

Head professional Ian Parker said: “Tom has been a keen supporter of Tiger events over the past few years and it really made it a special day having him there. Tom made a brilliant honest speech that inspired the Tigers, parents and professionals that were in the room”

Tiger girls captain Ellen Hume said: “It was great to have Tom at the medal. I learnt to always try your best, never give up and that all golfers have good and bad days.”

After the presentation Tom then spent time talking to the children, signing autographs and having some fun on the putting green. All Tigers went home very happy indeed.

Louis Densham won the Premier Division with Max Shirvell triumphing in Division 1.

Division 2 was won by Jake Shuttlewood, Thomas Jagger secured the Division 3 title with Nicholas Olding winning Division 4.
