Tigers back on course for first medal of the year at Mill Green

WITH the weather putting paid to a lot of sporting activity recently, the Tiger members at Mill Green Golf Club were raring to go despite the Arctic conditions.
With an array of shiny new golf clubs, trolleys and clothes, they braved the elements for the first Tiger medal of 2009.
First off the tee were new captains Megan Dennis and Sam Nicholls.
In the Premier Division, Ben Warne and Louix Monk each carded a nett 34, with Ben taking the second place on a countback.
Winning his first competition of 2009 was Samuel Bennett with a nett round of 32.
Division One honours were competitively fought for by friends Harry Klein and Charlie Ellam, with Harry taking first place by just one shot with a nett 30.
Keeping it in the family, Tollef Ellam also took second spot in Division Two beating Henry Taylor, again by countback.
Jonathan Law claimed first place with a nett 29.
Michael Stuart held firm against the girls to hold on to first place in Division Three with the lowest nett of the day 21.
That kept Molly Doyle in second and Olivia Dyson in third, both on nett 23.
Newcomer Joshua Frost was thrilled to win Division Four with a nett 24, just beating Joseph Freeman who had a nett 25.
Trained Brain award went to Michael Stuart for his continued and regular practice between Tiger sessions, as well as the Paul Davey award for the lowest nett score.
The Morgan Trophy for lowest gross was shared between Sam Bennett, Louix Monk and Ben Warne.
