TEENAGE tennis aces from Times Territory will be serving up an ace at the Gosling Sports Park this weekend.
The WGC sports complex is one of the venues from Friday through to Sunday of the 2008 LTA 18 and Under County Championships.
Herts LTA will have boys' and girls' teams competing in the event, with a number of Welwyn Hatfield players hoping to make home advantage count.
The county's boys are in Division Two action at Gosling with Brookmans Park brothers David and Mathew Thomson leading the Herts challenge.
David Thomson is one of the country's top ranked teenagers and netted the Sunday Telegraph Center Parcs National Junior Tennis Grand Prix 16 & Under title at La Manga Club, southern Spain, last November.
The Herts boys' squad also contains Cuffley's Stuart Nicholson, as well as Hertford's Matt Frost.
The county's girls captained by Sarah Donovan are in Division Four.
WGC girls Hope Johnson and Charlotte Cattle have both been included in the eight-strong party heading north to Bolton.
The format for both boys' and girls' competitions is the same.
The annual event is staged in seven divisions, with each playing at a different venue across the country and featuring four counties.
Every day teams compete in a round robin style with play consisting of six singles and three doubles rubbers.
At the end of the weekend, the highest placed team is promoted and the lowest relegated.
