Last season's Superleague champions had narrowly lost in Herts by 29-28 in the opening game of the term. They were back on form at the weekend and got one over their Herts rivals at the University of Bath.
A storming start certainly gave the hosts the upper hand as they led 13-5 after the first quarter.
During the second period Team Bath had England duo Pamela Cookey and Tamsin Greenway to thank as they stretched their superiority to 25-14.
With their international team-mate and England skipper Amanda Newton getting more involved in the game for Mavericks, their opponents began to slightly close the gap.
Mavericks were trailing by 10 points, 35-25, at the end of the third quarter.
The visitors from Hatfield came within six goals in the final period, thanks to some superb centre court work by England squad members Clare Elsley and Naomi Siddall.
Their debutant Monique Wood managed five goals from seven attempts but it was not to be for Mavericks.
Team Bath's own international combination of Jo Binns, Greenway and Cookey had too much pace and accuracy, and weathered the pressure to eventually put the game out of sight.
The Bath team are now in third place in the table after Saturday's success.
Defeat leaves Mavericks in fourth position with eight points from eight games.
Next up for them will be a trip north when they take on Leeds Met Carnegie a week on Saturday (January
It will be a testing encounter for Mavericks as the Leeds side are just a place below them in the table but level on points.
