Super start continues for Hatfield Swimming Club in National Arena League

Hatfield Swimming Club continued their great start to the National Arena League with a gala win in round two of the Premier Division.

From the 50 races at Woodside Leisure Centre in Watford the pink caps took 17 wins with a further 20 trips to the podium for finishing second or third.

It left them with a total of 312 points, a whopping 49 points clear of Basildon & Phoenix in second who were one point ahead of Hillingdon in third.

And it leaves them third overall behind Ipswich and Camden Swiss Cottage who were competing in gala two at Becontree.

Among the Hatfield winners on the night were Nathan Hughes, Michael Klimaszewski and Joel Pietersen who both won two individual events.

Hughes snapped up the 200m individual medley and 100m breaststroke, Klimaszewski was first in the 100m butterfly and 100m freestyle while Pietersen was successful in the 50m freestyle and 50m butterfly.

Harry Constantine also won twice, claiming the 100m backstroke and 100m freestyle.
