Squash World Championships: Surprise as Alison Waters is knocked out by unseeded Egyptian

Alison Waters suffered a surprise second round exit at the World Squash Championships in Penang, Malaysia.

World number four Waters, who lives in Welwyn Garden City, was knocked out by unseeded Egyptian teenager Nour El Sherbini 3-1 in the last 16 stage earlier today (Thursday).

The 18-year-old triumphed 11-3, 11-9, 7-11, 11-2.

Waters, who turned 30 yesterday (Wednesday), had beaten India’s world number 19 Joshna Chinappa 3-1 in the opening round on Tuesday.
