SHIRE Park's bowlers were beaten by Datchworth BC by 105 shots to 100.

The four rink mixed game at Datchworth saw the hosts run out as winners.

Mick Meaney, John Hazelwood, Rene Evenett and club president Gordon Price got the top rink for the Tewin-based team, winning 32-17.

In other Shire Park fixtures, despite bad weather Sylvia and Tom Brown won an East Herts mixed pairs encounter by 23-17 at the Rosedale BC in Cheshunt.

While in the St Albans & District singles, Bill Webb beat WGC's Doug King 21-11.

The over 55 pairs saw Tony Clift and Gordon Price claim a 21-9 triumph over Rosedale.

Also in the over 55s Gordon Price and Bill Webb lost to Harperbury.
