WGC 4ths got their season back on track with a crushing eight-wicket victory at home to Hertingfordbury 2nds.

After last week's defeat to high-flying Codicote, WGC needed to bounce back on Saturday and they did so in style in this Saracens Herts League Division 11 match.

Batting first, the visitors were soon under the cosh as good bowling from Ben Lamaison (2-18) and Luke Whiley (3-42) reduced them to 40-5.

WGC wrapped up the Hertingfordbury innings for 93.

Skipper Steve Russell top scored in reply with 55 not out.

He was assisted by young Sean Nicholson (28 no) as WGC reached their target in just 25 overs.
