The Welwyn Half Marathon returns on Sunday (March 20) and entries have already surpassed last year’s total of 450.

The race will start on the track at Gosling Sports Park before heading to the traffic free section of Cole Green Way.

The course loops around Birch Green before returning to the stadium for a track finish.

All finishers will receive a medal and race t-shirt.

Race director James Shipley, said: “We are thrilled this event is returning bigger this year.

“It’s a beautiful and fast course that is perfect if you are looking for a personal best or as a warm up for a spring marathon.

“I think in the next few years this race will be one of the most popular in Hertfordshire.”
