WELWYN began their London 2 North West season with a defeat as they went down 29-12 away at Imperial Medicals.

This was a disappointing performance by Welwyn who were clearly second best in all phases of the game except in taking some balls against the head and will need to make significant improvements if they are going to compete during the season.

On Saturday Welwyn have their first home game when they entertain local rivals Stevenage Town.
