Welwyn Rugby Club’s Josh Milton has taken a big step towards joining up with the England Counties U20 squad.

The young, dynamic flanker has been selected for the London & South East divisional squad to take part in the national development weekend in Derby starting on Friday, May 11.

The weekend is the final stage in selection for the England Counties U20s’ summer tour.

He is one of six Hertfordshire players to be called into the divisional squad.

Hertford’s Matt Bendin and Josh Rudling, Bishop’s Stortford’s Seb Brownhill, Old Albanian Taylor Reed and Jordan MacDonald of Leeds Becket University are the others.

Bendin and Brownhill both gained selection last season and will be aiming to go on their second tour.

Last year the squad toured the Netherlands while the year before Russia was the destination.
