IN poor conditions, Welwyn bounced back from the disappointment of defeat a week previous to see off Cheshunt 29-5 on Saturday.

The five points guaranteed that Welwyn will finish in third place in the league, the highest positioned of the Hertfordshire teams but well behind Old Priorians and Twickenham.

The final league fixture of the season will be this Saturday in a re-arranged home game against Twickenham.
