WELWYN Rugby Club’s Lotte Clapp is to represent England London & South East in rugby sevens at the Sainsbury’s 2013 School Games in Sheffield.

The four-day multi-sport event is supported by National Lottery funding from Sport England and delivered by the Youth Sport Trust.

Clapp, aged 18, said: “I’m incredibly excited to have been selected for the Sainsbury’s 2013 School Games as I had an amazing time last year and would love to retain the title.

“I want to perform well throughout the tournament and I know the whole team wants to go undefeated at this year’s competition.”

More than 1,600 potential future sports stars will compete in the games across 12 sports between September 12-15.
