England rugby coach Eddie Jones has wished Jamie George well after he was ruled out of the rest of the Six Nations Championships through injury.

The Welwyn Garden City-born Saracens hooker had been capped in all three of England’s Six Nations victories over Scotland, Italy and Ireland, but has this week withdrawn from the squad due to a ruptured a tendon in his bicep suffered in training.

His misfortune hands a chance in the squad to Exeter Chiefs’ Luke Cowan-Dickie.

Jones said: “It is a shame that Jamie George misses out through injury and we wish him well in his recovery, but it provides a great opportunity for Luke Cowan-Dickie to show what he’s about.”

England face Wales on Saturday at Twickenham looking to secure the triple crown.
