Hannah Botterman is exactly where she wants to be as she prepares for England’s autumn tests.
The former Datchworth and Welwyn junior linked up with her Red Roses colleagues ahead of the three Quilter Internationals
And although getting into the squad was her goal, she now wants to push on.
She said: “Hopefully if I put my best foot forward I can be included in the three games but just being in the squad is great.
“It’s where I wanted to be and hopefully I can push on from there.”
The first match is this Friday at her Saracens home of Allianz Park against USA.
The squad then play Canada in Doncaster on Sunday, November 18, before heading to Twickenham for the visit of Ireland on Saturday, November 24.
Another former Welwyn player, Ella Wyrwas has been selected in both the England National Academy squad and the U20 team for the upcoming season.
The academy side gives Wyrwas, who plays for Loughborough Lightning in the Tyrrells Premier 15s, the chance to push for a place in the main squad.
