UNIVERSITY of Hertfordshire student Alex Goode helped England battle their way into the IRB Junior World Championship final last night in Wales.

The 20-year-old Saracens fly-half kicked three penalties and a conversion as England beat South Africa in a late-night thriller at Cardiff Arms Park.

England squeezed into the inaugural final with a 26-18 triumph over the Baby Boks in the pouring rain.

Goode, the nephew of Tewin's Olympic badminton couple Andy and Jo Goode, and his England colleague will now face New Zealand in Swansea on Sunday in the competition decider.
