Welwyn Garden City’s Lotte Clapp claimed her first senior international rugby try as England defeated Italy 33-24 away in the Women’s Six Nations Championship.

England have now won their first two games of the championships as they successfully followed up their opening 32-0 triumph over Scotland.

Former Welwyn RFC player Clapp crossed the whitewash in the first half helping her side lead 19-12 at the break on Saturday.

England’s other try scorers were Lauren Cattell, Katie Mason, Abbie Scott and Bianca Blackburn.
