Datchworth missed out on two valuable bonus points in London North West Three as Old Streetonians left the Green with a 30-20 victory.

They managed three tries but despite late pressure, a fourth all-important score never arrived.

That would have also moved them into losing bonus-point range as would have two missed conversions from Tom Wood, although on both occasions the fly-half was decidedly unlucky.

He had better fortune in the first half landing a conversion and a penalty.

The first helped Datchworth move 7-0 in front after James Watt’s pace took him over and the second again gave the hosts the lead.

But two converted tries either side of half-time gave the Londoners an advantage they wouldn’t lose.

Watt got his second and Tom Bennett scored a now almost trademark try latching onto a Sam Brunton crossfield kick but Datch will need a little bit more luck if they are to avoid relegation.
