Home Counties Premier League Division Two (East)

North Mymms 232-10 Langleybury 190-8

HARSHAD Rawle smashed his fifth century of the season as North Mymms drew with Langleybury on Saturday.

Langleybury captain Greg Cooper decided to bowl on a pitch which was prepared to produce a result.

At 66-6, Harshad Rawle and Suhaib Sarwar were North Mymms' last chance of posting a challenging total.

The duo did not disappoint, taking the tally up to 180, before Sarwar was caught in the deep for 36.

Rawle was then joined by Russ Bennett, who gave the strike to the Indian all-rounder.

Harshad was finally dismissed for 119 and Mymms ended on 232 all out from 59.5 overs.

Mymms opening bowlers Andrew Hicks and James Oram started well.

Hicks took three wickets and Oram two before tea.

It was now Mymms' turn to take control with Langleybury 49-6 at the break.

The game seemed in the bag for the Home Farm side, but Kasmi and Alex Gunning had other ideas.

When Gunning was dropped first over after tea, it was not going to be Mymms' day.

Mymms nearly stole the win at the end when Kasmi was dismissed by Rawle in the closing overs.

Rawle then removed Lee Channer to make the score 173-8.

Mymms had three overs to take the final two wickets, but Gunning held out for the draw with an excellent unbeaten 78, Langleybury closing on 190-8.
