POTTERS Bar Bowls Club kicks off the new outdoor season on Saturday with the annual president's day fixture.

This year's president is Graham Marriner, who is also deputy president of HBA.

Brian Burfoot is men's captain this year and Josie Massey is now in her second year captaining the ladies.

The club has a packed programme of matches with more than 90 separate fixtures and more if, as they hope, they go the distance in some of the competitions.

Two open mornings are being held on Sunday, April 27 and May 18 from 10am until noon.

If you would like to try your hand at bowling, a warm and friendly welcome awaits you.

Just bring a pair of flat bottomed shoes, the club will provide everything else.

The green is located just off The Walk, by the new St John Ambulance HQ in Potters Bar.

A team of coaches will be on hand and both ready and willing to guide you through the basics of the game.

All the details can be found on their website www.pottersbar-bc.com
