A trampoline club from Potters Bar enjoyed a superb showing at the first qualifying round for a national final.

Zenith, who train out of the Furzefield Centre, had 15 young gymnasts aged between eight and 16 at the event as they looked to reach the National Development Pathway National Finals.

For 11 of them it was a first event but it didn’t stop the club’s young stars claiming four golds, three silvers and three bronze medals.

Zak Demetrides, Caitlin Ayres, Eloise West and Oz Hammerman were the winners of their respective categories after completing two different routines.

The next chance to qualify is in February with the regional finals in March.

Head coach Carrie-Ann Williamson said: “I’m so proud of the level of maturity these kids showed.

“They are a pleasure to work with.”
