STRUGGLING WGC 2nds will again be reflecting on another poor batting performance as they slipped to defeat against Leverstock Green.

Experienced openers Dan Beynon and Stuart Page were both back in the pavilion with less than 20 runs on the board on Saturday.

As early as the 10th over, key Leverstock Green bowler Klosterman was wheeling away with his accurate off-spin.

Only Andy Nolan (15) and Matt Hill (38) made any real contribution in the top six batsmen as WGC crawled to 80-5 from 30 overs in the Saracens Herts League Division Two match.

Chris Stainsby, with 15, and Simon Bridgewater, at number nine and getting into double figures, tried their best but 109 all out was no sort of target to set.

Opening bowlers Aaron Schier (1-27) and Luke Kemp (1-24) were accurate enough, but the capable and experienced Leverstock skipper Dave Tyson hit 60 not out to see his side home in the 36th over.
