BOYS from Herts Phoenix did their bit for the club in the final Eastern Young Athletes' League match of the season.
Callum Scutt and Jamie Jones took third places in the 100m for the U13s with 14.2 seconds and 15.1 secs. Sam and Jamie Jones recorded fourth places in the 200m.
Sam went on to take second in the 800m with 2 minutes 38.0 seconds and second in the B string discus along with Jamie, who took fourth in the A string.
Callum Scutt secured second places in the A string long jump after leaping 4.37m and the shot putt, throwing 6.15m.
Jake Cable took third in the B string high jump after clearing 1.10m.
Nicholas Doyle put in a great afternoon's work to win the B string 1,500m in 5 mins 15.8 secs.
He also took fourth in the A string hurdles and fifth in the A string high jump with 1.10m.
Liam Cloona ran well to finish second in the A string 1,500m with 5 mins 06.6 secs and Bradley Alder took fifth in the 800m B string with 2 mins 54.5 secs.
Phoenix's U13 sprint relay team were runner-up in 58.4 secs.
The U15 boys had a number of winners. Vasudev Zaver clocked 4 mins 30.9 secs in the 1,500m, while Richard Sackey and David Sissons recorded 12.8 secs and 12.9 secs in the sprint hurdles.
Other winners included Simon Bevan in the pole vault with 1.90m and the B string javelin after throwing 23.15m.
High jumper George Hudson won the A string with 1.60m.
Jonathan Stock claimed the B string with an effort of 1.35m. Jonathan also took the javelin first with 31.92m.
Elsewhere, Miebaka Owubokina took second places in the B string 100m and A 200m in 12.7 secs and 25.5 secs, with Prince Richman taking second in the B string 200m with 26.4 secs.
Alex Cloona crossed the line second in the A string 800m with 2 mins 24.5 secs.
Jonathan Stock came third in the B string 800m with 2 mins 33.3 secs and in the 400m Alex took fourth with 63.9 secs and Robert Hibbs third in the B string in 64.3 secs.
George Hudson was second in the long jump with a leap of 5.02m, with Robert Hibbs and Simon Bevan third and fourth in the discus.
The Phoenix U15 sprint relay team took a fine second place in 50.1 secs.
Finally, the U17 men were led magnificently by Ross Armorgie, who won three events - the sprint hurdles in 15.2 secs, the high jump with 1.80m and the triple jump with 11.81m.
Ben Parry then picked up three second places with 56.3 secs in the A string 400m, 2 mins 08.3 secs for the A string 800m and 10.09m in the B string triple jump.
George Williams took a second in the long jump with 4.69m, third in the 200m A race and fourth in the 100m A string with 12.5 secs.
Matt Gibson ran a fine race to finish second in the B string 800m with a time of 2 mins 22.5 secs.
The Phoenix sprint relay team were runners-up in 50.7secs.
