A 20-strong party from Knebworth Park warmed up for the fast approaching Saracens Herts League season with a five-day trip to Spain.

The Park tourists took part in a cricket festival at La Manga, where the highlight was an excellent win over Surrey Championship side Spencer.

Jarrod Turner batted beautifully for his 76 not out and Steve Gregory struck some well-timed straight sixes in his 41.

Paul Slade also heaved some massive sixes in a quickfire 52 in a total of 190-4 in 20 overs.

Bowlers Slade and Adam Sergeant, with two for 27 apiece, supported by Graham Fisher (1-28), restricted their strong opponents to 162-6 for a convincing win.
