Panshanger Golf Club’s past lady captains compete for trophy

PAST lady captains of Panshanger Golf Club met on Monday to play for the trophy of the same name which was initiated in 2000 by Joan Peploe who was captain in 1996.

There were 18 ladies playing with one who had travelled from Exeter, another from Kent and one from Bedfordshire, two more joined them for lunch which followed in the Tavern.

Twelve of the past captains are still playing members of the section.

The winner was Linda Roberts with 37 stableford points and runner-up was Linda Daker who was the first Panshanger lady captain, with 36 points. Debbie Osman organised the popular event.
