Chancellor’s School pupil Ted Harrington bounced back from a year out of boxing to be crowned a national champion at the ABA Schools Championship National finals.
The 13-year-old, who recovered from a tear in his cruciate ligament, defeated Ashley Hatcher of Lewisham’s Marvels Lane Boxing Club in the class two U57kg final in Feltham.
Harrington has been boxing with Cheshunt Boxing Club for six years and this is the first time he has entered the ABA finals.
After a year off the sport due to his injury, he trained hard for the last six months and was rewarded with a national title.
