Moakes in title pole position in SAXMAX Championship

WELWYN Garden City speedster Scott Moakes is in pole position to win the SAXMAX Championship as he currently tops the drivers’ table after some fine recent results.
At Brands Hatch, Scott qualified fifth and made up a place during the race to finish fourth.
On day two 15-year-old Scott qualified second and got off to a good start leading the race for the first nine laps.
But title-rival Aaron Trigwell squeezed passed to sneak a victory, with Scott finishing a close second.
The next meeting was in Wales at Pembrey Circuit.
This was the first time at this track for Scott and he praticed around the circuit the day before the first race.
Scott qualified first and got off to a good start.
But he was soon under pressure from Anthony Worton-Eales who tried to pass a few times and then ran out of road and went off the track.
Monk’s Walk school pupil Scott pressed on to bring the car home for a win.
On day two Scott qualified second but got a two-place grid drop for not leaving enough room on the track for Worton-Eales so started from fourth.
The teenage racer raced well making up one place to finish third.
