RYE House Rockets' Hatfield speedway rider Robert Mear impressed as his side beat King's Lynn Stars 55-35 on Saturday night.

The Premier Trophy fixture in Hoddesdon saw the visitors take an early 4-2 lead, but it was largely all Rye from there on.

In heat two Mear and team-mate Danny Betson maxed out.

Two races later Mear was again on fire. He stalked Rusty Harrison for three and a half laps before driving inside the Aussie just before the chequered flag.

Rye House captain Chris Neath and Mear won heat 10 5-1.

Mear finished the night with an excellent 10+2 from six rides.

Rockets host Newport at Rye House this Saturday from 7pm.
