McGill finds his mark but Welwyn Garden City 5ths held to draw

JOHN McGill scalped four wickets as WGC 4ths drew with Hertingfordbury 2nds on Saturday.

Steve Russell's team are making a more determined effort to get out of Division 11 of the Saracens Herts Cricket League this year they just failed to gain a third victory this season.

Russell himself top-scored with 58 runs before being run out.

Stuart Primarolo (42), Ben Lamaison (21) and James Sumpter (27 not out) assisted well as WGC claimed maximum batting points.

The visitors never threatened to win the match and there were wickets for John McGill (4-26), Lutf Ul-Islam (2-35) and one each for Lamaison and Sumpter but Hertingfordbury held on at 123-8.
