MAVERICKS star duo Louisa Brownfield and Karen Atkinson played their part for England as they claimed a test series win over Jamaica on Tuesday.

Brownfield and co-captain Atkinson, making her 99th international appearance, helped guide their nation to a 57-47 triumph over the Sunshine Girls at the Coventry Skydome.

Brownfield started at goal shooter and scored 17 times from her 20 attempts before being replaced at half-time by Jo Harten.

England's victory was their second in the three-match series after a 67-54 success at the O2 in London on Sunday.

There is now one dead-rubber for the two countries to play in Nottingham tonight (Thursday) to complete the series.

In that game Atkinson is set to win her 100th international cap.
