ENGLAND and Mavericks netball star Karen Atkinson collected her 100th international cap last night (Thursday) as she co-captained her country to a series whitewash over Jamaica.

The 55-49 victory at Nottingham in the third and final test match ensured the hosts claimed a 3-0 series triumph over the Sunshine Girls.

At the final whistle Atkinson, who also skippers Hatfield-based Co-operative Netball Superleague side Mavericks, was fittingly named the Mitre player of the match.

The centre/wing-attack was presented with flowers from her team and family for reaching a century of appearances.

Mavericks are in action tonight (Friday) at the University of Hertfordshire when they take on Glasgow Wildcats in the Superleague.
