Laura Trott and Vicky Williamson in GB World Championship squad

Laura Trott and Vicky Williamson have been named in the British Cycling squad for the UCI Track World Cycling Championships.

The two former Welwyn Wheeler riders will head to Cali, Columbia for the championships as part of a 17-strong GB squad.

Double Olympic champion Trott will be looking to defend her world title as part of the GB’s women’s team pursuit.

The championships take place from February 26 to March 2.

The full squad is:

Men’s sprint - Matt Crampton, Kian Emadi, Phil Hindes and Jason Kenny.

Women’s sprint - Becky James, Jess Varnish and Vicky Williamson.

Men’s endurance - Steven Burke, Ed Clancy, Jon Dibben, Owain Doull and Sam Harrison.

Women’s endurance - Katie Archibald, Elinor Barker, Dani King , Joanna Rowsell and Laura Trott.
