WGC golfer Mark Laskey held a demonstration clinic for the Rookie Club at The Shire London.

Touring professional Laskey is attached to The Shire London and was a Rookie member at Panshanger when he was five.

He has made several starts on the European Tour this year as well as being one of leading players on the Challenge Tour.

Former WGC Golf Club member Mark hit balls with his driver, 5-iron and pitching wedge and chatted to the youngsters about the importance of getting the basics right and of staying fit.

He was joined by former European long drive champion Joe Miller, currently ranked eight in the world.

Joe, who owns more than 40 different drivers, easily cleared the range and the woods behind.

"The contrast between the two couldn't have been more different," said Chris Whitelegg, the senior teaching professional at The Shire London.
