Knebworth travelled to Evergreen hoping to avenge a defeat from two weeks ago but had to settle for a point.

The Ks started brightly and could have been ahead on two minutes when Dale Chester was through on goal but his attempted lob sailed wide.

Callum Rowe made an early breakthrough when his free-kick from his own half sailed high into the box and what should have been a fairly simple gather by the Evergreen goalkeeper resulted in a calamitous error and somehow the ball ended up in the net.

Knebworth could have extended their lead when Charlie Pratt put wide when in on goal, and not long afterwards the hosts drew level following a lofted ball into the Knebworth box.

On 65 minutes the Ks’ Pratt fired a free-kick into the top corner for 2-1 but, unable to deal with the home side’s set plays, they then conceded twice to fall behind 3-2.

Knebworth kept probing for another goal and right at the end of the match Jordan Folorunso scored to salvage a point for the visitors.

Manager Frazer Triggs said: “It’s disappointing because we should be winning games like this.

“With six league games remaining there must be another push to see how many more points we can get. Everyone has been superb all season but we must dig deep to find that final push and keep going until the end of the season.”
