WGC long jumper Katie Caulfield struck gold for Herts Phoenix in the South of England Indoor Championships.
An impressive leap of 5.49m in the Under-17 girls' event was a massive new personal best for the Monk's Walk School pupil.
The distance achieved at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre took the 2007 Welwyn Hatfield Borough Sports Awards nominee to the top of the national rankings for the event in her age group.
As a jump specialist, 14-year-old Katie also competed in the high jump and finished fifth after clearing 1.60m.
Fellow long jumper Sam Higgins also collected a medal at the Picketts Lock indoor arena.
The Herts Phoenix newcomer jumped 5.01m to pick up a bronze in the U15 boys' event.
The Gosling-based club also claimed medal success in the boys' U15 1,500m and 400m and grabbed a podium finish in the girls' U20 200m.
County cross-country champion Edward Shepherd kept clear of the cold and muddy tracks for a weekend to win the boys' U15 1,500m title.
His winning time of 4 minutes 38.2 seconds was a championship best for the newly introduced event.
In the same age group, club-mate Andrew Walshe took silver in the 400m.
The Herts Phoenix runner clocked 56.57 secs to finish just 0.37 secs behind Ealing Southall & Middlesex AC's Mali Lewis, who set a championship best.
English Schools' track medallist Laura Wake won bronze in her first year as an U20 athlete with a time of 25.56 secs for the 200m.
